Home entertainment in a whole nother level

Entertainment is a wide concept that has different meanings to different people. A lot of people would define it as events and happenings that are fun and enjoyable and it normally includes events such as theater, concerts, cinema, music and much more. Home entertainment gives you the opportunity to reproduce and enjoy these events from your own living room.

Ever since the TV was invented it has revolutionized the home entertainment. Before the TV you had to have a lot of money and time to enjoy culture. It made entertainment accessible and over the years products have added to the mix: video players, dvd, bluray, sound systems and streaming services.

Just like the TV, Animus Home wants to change the way of home entertainment. With our Animus Heart and hApps there are no limits to what you can do with the smart products in your home.

For this we have created a simple example of how you can use smart home devices to have your own QUIZ show in your living room!

 

To play the game we used the following:

• - Animus Heart

• - 3 flic buttons (these buttons have some other purposes in our homes but we could use them for the quiz as well)

• - 3 smart lights (we used 3 philips hue)

• - Quiz hApp from the hApp World (just press install and we were ready to play)

The current version of the Quiz hApp chooses some questions from its local database. The next version would be that you could add own questions as well to make it really fun and personal.

Nevertheless, we had such a great time while testing this that friends and family wanted to visit us just to play the quiz. It has become a great social activity in our home now!

Now, just imagine how easy it will be to try another new game hApp with the same setup!
